Noelle Wheeler, M.Sc.

Studies & experience: Noelle received her BSc from UCLA in 2022 where she studied computational biology. She went on to earn her MSc, also in computational biology, at Weill Cornell graduate school. She completed her master’s thesis project in the lab of Dr. Dan Landau, studying evolution in glioma tumors. During her master’s program Noelle discovered her interest in single cell genomics and decided to continue this at Mount Sinai! Noelle joined Dr. Franco Izzo’s lab in April 2024 and is excited to look at interesting problems in the field of blood cancer.


Hobbies: Exploring the city, rock climbing, soccer


Future goals: Continue with bioinformatics work! Gain a better understanding of blood cancer therapy resistance.
