Ramisha Aymon, BSc.

Studies & experience: Ramisha holds a BSc in Biochemistry from the City College of New York, and has over two years of research experience in structural biology. Her undergraduate research explored a novel light-responsive histidine kinase involved in bacterial two-component signaling, utilizing techniques such as x-ray crystallography and NMR. Motivated to broaden her scientific perspective and shift from wet lab to data-driven approaches, she transitioned into computational biology. She is now pursuing a Master’s in Biomedical Data Science at ISMMS, in Dr. Izzo’s lab where her research centers on leveraging single-cell sequencing data to infer copy number variations that drive hematological cancer onset and progression.

Hobbies: Cooking, thrifting, and obliged to spend time outside when the weather’s nice.

Future goals: Aims to bridge biology and data science expertise in the industry to advance disease understanding and improve treatment development.
